President Marcos has high regard for Bataan province describing it as a powerhouse and center of development in the near furture. The President made the remark in his speech after the inauguration on Friday of Mariveles–Hermosa-San Jose 500kV transmission line in Hermosa town where he said: “I’m also excited as we shape up Bataan to be a literal and figurative powerhouse, as well as a center of economic development in the future.” Marcos added: “I trust that the public will strive to become stewards of our environment through conservation and smart consumption of energy.
With our synergized efforts pushing our national development forward, we can build greener and more sustainable cities and achieve total electrification for the entire country.” The Chief Executive hinted that renewable energy may become an important energy mix when he said, “It will also help in the administration’s thrust to transition to renewable energy to mitigate the impact of geopolitical uncertainties and of course, the effects of climate change.”
After delivering his speech, the President had a photo opportunity with local officials led by Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia, Bataan Second Dist. Rep. Albert Garcia, Bataan Third Dist. Rep. Gila Garcia, Mayors Tonypep Raymundo(Orion), Jopet Inton (Hermosa), Robin Tagle (Abucay), Francis Anthony Garcia (Balanga City), Richie Jason David (Limay) and Ace Jello Concepcion (Mariveles).
